HOW TO QUALIFY

1. Login to your Shelter Animals Count Dashboard and make sure your intake and outcome data is complete for all locations.

 

 

2. Verify that your Organization Profile information (see Step 2 below) is complete and accurate, including your organization type, organization start date, EIN#, Software Provider, and Authorized User. If applicable, make sure your organization is set up for our API.

 

 

No separate entry form is needed. All qualifying organizations with complete intake and outcome data, complete organization profile, and a confirmed account by January 16, 2024 will be eligible, including new registrations. We will randomly draw eligible organizations and announce the winners in February 2024.

STEP ONE - COMPLETE DATA

How do I know if my data is complete?
You will see blue months if the data is complete. If you see yellow months, there is missing data.

 

 

 

 

 

IMPORTANT:
All fields MUST have a numeric value. Even if you don’t have data for a field, it still needs a “0”. This may be a reason for yellow months.

UPDATE INCOMPLETE DATA

MANUAL DATA ENTRY

1. Login to your account

2. Select “Enter Data: Manual” button (Intake and Outcome Database (IOD) on left of home page and Community Services Database on right of home page)

3. Select “Manually” and enter month to enter

4. Click Species (button turns yellow) you want to enter data for

5. Click “Edit” and enter data (Fields left blank with save as zero)

6. Click “Save” and repeat with remaining species tabs

7. Once all data is entered, click the species tab to turn it back to blue and click Submit

CSV UPLOAD

1. Login to your account

2. On the top, select “Export Data”. (Intake and Outcome Database (IOD) on left of home page and Community Services Database on right of home page)

3. Select location(s) and date range

4. Generate CSV & open document

5. Locate any fields that are empty, and fill in with correct data, or if you do not have data for that field, enter “0”. Save the file for uploading.

6. Return to your home page and click “Enter Data: CSV Upload” to import your data using the CSV file you just edited. You can enter multiple months of data at one time with this option.

STEP TWO - UPDATE PROFILE

PROFILE UPDATE

1. Login to your account

2. Select your organization name in the top right corner, in the drop down select “Organization”

3. Click “Edit organization” button to update all fields with complete and accurate information. (website must begin with “http://”).

4. “Organization Status” MUST say “confirmed” in order to qualify for grants. This means that you have opted into sharing your data.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE. ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES. DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN OR NOT LOCATED IN THE U.S. AND U.S. TERRITORIES AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: This contest is a trade program promotion (“Promotion”) and not open to the public. Eligible organizations are shelters and rescues qualified and approved as participants in Shelter Animals Count (“Sponsor”), as defined by: Animal shelters, rescues, fostering organizations, animal care and control agencies, and any organization that is involved in activities such as animal adoptions, transfers, etc. and have intake and outcome data to contribute.

All participating organizations must be confirmed, have entered organization type, start date, shelter software provider and EIN#, and completed intake and outcome data in the Shelter Animals Count database by January 16, 2024, 8:00am EST, to be eligible, including new qualified registrants during the contest period. Employees, contractors, board members, directors and officers of Shelter Animals Count are not eligible to participate.

2. CONTEST PERIOD: Contest begins on 12/19/23 at 12:00:01 am Eastern Time (“EST”) and ends on 01/16/24 at 8:00:00 am EST (the “Contest Period”).

3. TO ENTER: Login to your organization’s dashboard at data.shelteranimalscount.org (“Website”) during the contest period. Make sure all intake and outcome data are complete and that your organization’s participation is confirmed, that you have entered organization type, start date, shelter software provider and EIN#. These steps must be completed within the contest period.

4. PRIZES, DRAWINGS, ODDS AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV”): Winners will be selected in a random drawing (“Drawing”) from all eligible organizations. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of qualifying organizations. Drawing will be conducted in February 2024 by Shelter Animals Count, whose decisions shall be final and binding on all matters relating to the Contest.

Limit one (1) prize per organization throughout the Promotion.

TWO (2) FIRST PRIZES: $5,000 Grant. Granted to TWO separate organizations who have submitted full intake/outcome data from 2021-2023.

ONE (1) SECOND PRIZE: $3,000 Grant. Granted to ONE organization who has submitted full intake/outcome data from 2021-2023.

ONE (1) THIRD PRIZE: $1,500 Grant. Granted to ONE organization who has submitted full intake/outcome data from 2021-2023.

ONE (1) COMMUNITY SERVICES PRIZE: $500 Grant. Granted to ONE organization who has submitted complete Community Services data in 2021-2023 with a total number of services provided each year as greater than 0.

TOTAL ARV OF ALL PRIZES AVAILABLE IN THE CONTEST: $15,000

5. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on their respective prizes (if applicable). No cash equivalent or substitution of prizes is offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. No transfer of prizes will be permitted. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s Privacy Policy (available at www.shelteranimalscount.org) which are final and binding in all respects. Prizes will be drawn by February 15, winners will be contacted by email by February 28, and all prizes must be claimed by April 15. Any unclaimed prizes will be redistributed in future data drives. Prizes will be mailed within 6 weeks of receiving completed documentation from winners. Prizes will only be delivered to an address within the United States and United States Territories. If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with another prize of equal or greater value. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the process, and to cancel, modify or terminate the Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY YOU OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Contest Parties resulting from user’s participation in, attempt to participate in the Contest, download of any information in connection with participating in the Contest. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the Sponsor or Contest Parties for technical problems or technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences, without limitation, that may affect the operation of the Contest: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any e-mail transmissions to be sent to or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted e-mail transmissions; inaccessibility of the website in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestion on the Internet or website; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the Contest, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bug, worm; or destruction of any aspect of the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the website. Use of website is at user’s own risk. Sponsor and the Contest Parties are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind that may be sustained to user’s or any other person’s computer equipment resulting from participation in the Contest, use of the website or the download of any information from the website. By participating in the Contest, the entrant thereby releases Sponsor and the Contest Parties from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such entrant’s participation in the Contest. By accepting a prize, recipient (and recipient’s organization) agrees to release and hold Sponsor, Contest Parties, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents harmless from any liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest; from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a prize including but not limited to liability for taxes, duties or other levies assessed upon any of the prizes.
