The National Animal Welfare Statistics Dashboard is refreshed with a new look, additional filters and updated data. Select from species (dogs and cats), organization types (shelters and rescues), aggregate metrics (such as Community Intakes and Live Outcomes, etc.), and individual intake and outcome types. For intake and outcome types, you can select multiple and see them build up in the bar chart.
State Level Animal Welfare Statistics Dashboard
New and updated State Level Animal Welfare Statistics Dashboard available from Shelter Animals Count. Select from species (dogs and cats) and organization types (shelters and rescues). You can select an individual state to see further metrics, including live outcomes, non-live outcomes, population balance, and transfer data. Our updated Intake & Outcome Dashboard is now available, providing valuable insights into animal shelter data beyond dogs and cats.

Community Services Dashboard
Shelter Animals Count Community Services Database (CSD) began collecting services data in 2021 to capture the most common ways shelters, rescues, and service-based organizations are supporting pets and people in our communities. These services exist to help keep pets in their homes and out of the shelters, and also to help people during difficult times.
The Shelter Animals Count Community Services Database is the first database to allow both animal sheltering and non-sheltering organizations, as well as human services organizations, to count their animal services in a central database.
