Shelly Thompson

Shelly Thompson currently serves as Senior Grants Manager for Maddie’s Fund. After eight years at leading technology company PeopleSoft, Inc., she jumped at the opportunity to work at Maddie's Fund in 2002. "Animals have always held a special place in my heart," she said. "I love the mission of Maddie's Fund and the positive impact it has on the lives of animals."

Ms. Thompson’s specialized knowledge of database management enabled her to set up Maddie's® system for tracking and reporting on grants. In addition to being Maddie's® database guru, she oversees Maddie’s® grant-giving and comparative database, and acts as project manager for technology-related projects.

Growing up with six dogs and four cats taught her about the fantastic things companion animals provide: unconditional love, support, caring, and companionship, a lesson that paid off for a little black and white dog named Jack, Shelly's current best friend.
